17,338 Trees Equals 832,224 pounds of Carbon Sequestered

Ebiil Society has ended the year 2022 by planting a total of 17,338 trees in Ngardmau reforestation sites. In consideration of the environmental benefits, 17,338 trees equals 832,224 pounds of carbon sequestered and 1,415 tons of soil reduced from loss.

We are very grateful for those who volunteered along the way since March 2020. The project is ongoing and there are more trees to put in the ground. Let’s continue to help Palau mitigate the effects of climate change and save our island’s forests.
