Oregon State University (OSU) students will once again visit Ebiil for a summer education camp from June 13th to 20th.

Planned activities include tree planting/watershed studies, taro field cultivation and regenerative agriculture, a visit to Toluk el Bad to observe women fishers, sea grass ecology, sea cucumber reseeding, a visit to the Bureau of Fisheries Hatchery, fishing day, and snorkeling at Ebiil Channel.

The Ebiil Natural Science Training Center was developed to provide a learning space where Palauan and other youth from around the world can come together to learn to better understand our natural environment and the proper use and management that encourages healthy and sustainable resources and livelihood.  The studies involve learning practices of a certain traditional industry and the associated technologies in order to understand the science behind the practice or design, and how it relates to the ecosystem and concepts of environmental protection.
