Outrigger Canoe Carving Study Begins

January 3, 2019 marked the launch of the Ebiil Outrigger Canoe Carving Study. Oregon State University Camp

In September 2018, Oregon State University students took part in an Ebiil Society Discovery Camp. Activities included tree planting, sea cucumber restoration, marine debris collection and analysis and study of artefacts on Ngerkeklau Island. Ebiil Society at the 2nd National Environment Symposium

Ebiil Society  Staff and Camp Counsellors presented at the 2nd National Environment Symposium on August 28th at the Ngarayamayong Cultural Center. Concerning the theme “Community Actions for Health and Well-Being”,  Elchung Hideyos, Iseko Williander, Macy Nagata and Oreall Kloulechad presented the “Next Generation: Developing Next Generation Environmental Stewards”.

2018 Summer Camp Report

In June and July, Ebiil Society offered the Second “Experience Camp” version of Camp Ebiil. Grade 6-8 students were invited to sign up for eight days of experiencing traditional and conservational methods.
