Over 11,000 Trees Planted!

Ebiil Society and Ngardmau with assistance from community volunteers and partners has planted 11,447 trees in Ngardmau mine fields since March 2020! Partners included Melekeok PAN site, Aimeliik PAN site, PAN office, Ngiual PAN, and Fire and Rescue. Koror Elementary School Takes Forestry Class

On September 30th, Koror Elementary School students participated in a Forestry Class with Ebiil Society. The youth had the opportunity to learn about terrestrial management by planting seedlings. They also shared with each other what they had learned by giving group presentations. Here are a few photos of their adventures.

Outdoor Classrooms Resume

Ebiil Society developed the Outdoor Classroom program to introduce elementary school students to Palau’s ecosystems and traditional knowledge. Students participate in activities in the seagrass bed, mangroves or forests of Ngarchelong State in order to encourage their interest in environmental stewardship. Outdoor classrooms will continue throughout the school year. For more information, call 855-2676.
