The last Thursday of each month is tree planting day for Ebiil and partners from OSCA & the Division of Fire & Rescue, restoring the old phosphate mine site in Ngardmau. On March 25th, we planted 403 trees – btaches, ukaltreesl, kisaks, las, miich, rebotel, and some kuskus for sediment trap. For more information please contact Ebiil Society.

On February 25, 2021, Ebiil Society conducted a tree planting day at Ngardmau State. Together with the Ngardmau State Government and OSCA, a total of 640 trees were planted at the restoration site and 70 trees at the fire break. For our 16th Ebiil Society Anniversary we went to Ngerkeklau Island to clear off the invasive tree “Telentund” and vine “Kebeas & Berdakl” that has covered most parts of the island, especially near the turtle nesting ground.
