Recently the Ebiil Society Forestry Team held an Outdoor Classroom day for Meyuns Elementary School 5th Grade Students. Some of the topics included Forest Ecology, Watershed Protection, Wildfire Science, and Traditional Medicine. Thank you students for helping to improve Palau’s environment while learning the value of forests.
Ebiil Society has ended the year 2022 by planting a total of 17,338 trees in Ngardmau reforestation sites. In consideration of the environmental benefits, 17,338 trees equals 832,224 pounds of carbon sequestered and 1,415 tons of soil reduced from loss. In Ngardmau State, Ebiil Society has been replanting three terraces, and have reached an outstanding total of about 16,000 trees.
