Ebiil Wildlife Coordinator in Training in Japan

Ebiil Society’s Wildlife Coordinator, Sharon Ochob Truce, is currently in Japan for JICA’s KCCP Training from October 4 to November 3, 2022. Sharon is participating in the Promotion of the SATOYAMA Initiative: Biodiversity conservation and rural development through the sustainable management of natural resources. 

The objectives of this training course include learning the cases of biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of national resources in Japan and other parts of the world. Participants will make the plan for community promotion in their own countries from the viewpoint of the reconciliation between nature conservation and livelihood promotion. Overall, participants will share what they have learned with the people in their perspective countries in order to implement a rural development plan harmonizing nature conservation and livelihood promotion.
