Highlights of 50th Earth Day

Happy 50th Earth Day Palau!!

Earth Day Surprise Award “Partnership Excellence Award” by Nels Liljedahl and US Ambassador was presented to Ebiil Society Inc. and OSCA. 

Day 2
Improvements at Ranger Station at Ngerkeklau Island included signage, gutters and water tank.

Day 3 Of Earth🌎 Day. We went out🚤 and collected Marine debris at Ngerkeklau Island 🏝. A total of 10 Trash bags and a half of a television and a big partial plastic part of some kind of container. If you see it, pick it up!

Ebiil Forestry Team ended the week with Ngaremlengui and Ngiwal Reforestation sites with young Ebiilers. HAPPY EARTH!!!

Day#4-Ebiil Earth week activities with US Ambassador and US Embassy Staff, CAT Team, Australian Embassy,Japan Embassy, Division of Fire & Rescue,Ngardmau State Government and Community ,OSCA and Ngardok Conservative Network. Planted 734 trees and 22 coconut trees in Forest Restoration sites and Fire Break sites.

Day 5
2020 Earth Week Celebrations included installation of Clam Farm in Ollei, Ngarchelong. This is a pilot project: Women Clam Farmers
